Industries have always relied on a technically competent workforce to operate efficiently and produce globally competitive products and services. As our country continues to industrialize and achieve higher and higher levels of technology, the role of skilled workers becomes more and more valued.
Cagayan de Oro College (COC) has been helping fill this need since 1980 by offering vocational courses. This year, with the establishment of the Institute of Technology, COC brings a renewed commitment to nation-building through technical education.
Technicians and food trade staff obtain training through college and trade school programs or through on-the-job trainings. Our sophisticated state-of-the-art laboratories such as the mechanical lab, electrical lab, electronics lab, and the HRM lab are furnished with the necessary equipment to hone students’ skills.
Our faculty is top-notch, possessing the technical expertise and academic experience needed to produce industrious and dedicated graduates who are competent in their respective fields.
An iTECH education guarantees a quicker entry into the labor force by providing marketable skills in less than half the time it takes to finish a bachelor’s degree. The knowledge learned and the skills mastered are tailor-fit to industry needs. From electrical/electronic and mechanical technicians to food production and service staff, graduates of iTECH@COC are assured of a bright future ahead through a program that ensures they have what it takes to land a job and keep it.
