Scholarships

Most importantly, our education is affordable. We do not charge any hidden or unnecessary fees. We support deserving students throughout their tertiary learning years by by offering scholarship programs. Our Handog Kaibigan Scholarship Program provides 50% discount on tuition & miscellaneous fees for our more financially-challenged students.

  • 1. PHINMA Scholarship (formerly Presidential Scholarship)

    PHINMA COC endeavors to support its students all the way by offering scholarship programs. Our Handog Kaibigan Scholarship Program provides 50% discount on tuition & miscellaneous fees for 4 years for our more financially challenged students.     Benefits:

    • 100% coverage of fees (tuition, miscellaneous, and laboratory fees)
    • An allowance of PhP 2,000 for 10 months every school year (including summer if required by the program)

     

    FOR INCOMING FRESHMEN

     

    Qualifications:

    • He /she must be able to present School and Community Involvements.
    • He/she must be an academically competent student with a minimum general weighted average (GWA) of 85 and gets at least an average score in the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT) and the Culture Fair Intelligence Test (CFIT) examinations to be administered by the Center for Student Development and Leadership (CSDL) and the office of the VP for Student Life (SL).
    • He/she should pass the panel screening interview of the PHINMAEd school applied to.

     

    Requirements:

    • List of School and Community Involvements.
    • Recommendation Letter from a teacher, school head, adviser or community leader attesting to the character and claims of the applicant.
    • Certification from previous school that the student is their graduate and has, at least, a GWA of 85
    • Certificate of Good Moral Character.
    • Accomplishment and subsequent passing of OLSAT and CFIT examinations.
    • Attendance and subsequent passing of the panel screening interview

     

    FOR CONTINUING STUDENTS

     

    Qualifications:

    • He/she must either be in his/her sophomore or junior tertiary level.
    • He/she must be able to present school and community involvements.
    • He/she must have a general weighted average (FWA) of 2.0, no grade lower than 2.5 and must not have incurred failing marks, incomplete or dropped subjects.
    • He/she must not have incurred a disciplinary record nor have a pending disciplinary case.
    • He/she should pass the panel screening interview of the PHINMAEd school applied to.

     

    Requirements:

    • List of School and Community involvements.
    • Recommendation Letter from a teacher, school head, adviser or community leader attesting to the character and claims of the applicant and duly endorsed by the dean of his/her department.
    • Certification from the CSDL that he/she not incurred nor has any pending disciplinary case.
    • Attendance and subsequent passing of the panel screening interview.
  • 2. Academic Scholarship

    The Valedictorian Scholarship is given to valedictorians in any high school with at least 100 graduates in the batch.

     

    Benefits:

    • 100% Free Tuition Fee

     

    Eligibility:

    • The student must be a valedictorian of a high school with at least 100 graduating students in his/her batch.

     

    Requirements:

    • The student must submit the following documents to the Scholarship In-Charge at the Center for Student Development and Leadership, on or before the start of 1st Semester Enrolment :Certificate that he/she is the valedictorian of his/her batch
    • Form 137
    • NSO Birth Certificate

     

    Maintenance:

    • The student must be part of the Dean’s List.
    • The student must not have a mark of Incomplete, Dropped, or Failed
    • The student must have a full load.
    • The student must not have any disciplinary sanction.
    • The student must do 10 service hours per week.
  • 3. Salutatorian Scholarship

    The Salutatorian Scholarship is given to valedictorians in any high school with at least 100 graduates in the batch.

     

    Benefits:

    • 50% coverage of tuition fees

     

    Eligibility:

    • The student must be a salutatorian of a high school with at least 100 graduating students in his/her batch.

     

    Requirements:

    • The student must submit the following documents to the Scholarship In-Charge at the Center for Student Development and Leadership, on or before the start of 1st Semester Enrolment :Certificate that he/she is the salutatorian of his/her batch
    • Form 137
    • Certificate of Good Moral Character
    • NSO Birth Certificate

  • 4. Dean's List Full Scholarship

    Benefits:

    • 100% coverage of tuition fees

     

    Eligibility:

    • The student must be one of the top 10 students on the Dean’s List (not Presidential, Gov. Moreno, OJH, 1 of 100, and College scholars)

     

    Requirements:

    • The Official Dean’s List generated by the Registrar’s Office every semester

     

    Maintenance:

    • The student must be a part of the top 10 of the Dean’s List who are not Presidential, Gov. Moreno, OJH, 1 of 100, or College scholar.
    • The student must not have a mark of Incomplete, Dropped or Failed.
    • The student must have a full load or at least 21 units for irregular students.
    • The student must not have any disciplinary sanction.
  • 5. Dean's List Half Scholarship

    Benefits:

    • 50% coverage of tuition fees

     

    Eligibility:

    • The student must belong to Top 11-25 of the Dean’s List (not Presidential, Gov. Moreno, OJH, 1 of 100, and College scholars)

     

    Requirements:

    • The Official Dean’s List generated by the Registrar’s Office every semester

     

    Maintenance:

    • The student must be a part of the top 11-25 of the Dean’s List who are not Presidential, Gov. Moreno, OJH, 1 of 100, or College scholar.
    • The student must not have a mark of Incomplete, Dropped or Failed.
    • The student must have a full load or at least 21 units for irregular students.
    • The student must not have any disciplinary sanction.
  • 6. Hawak Kamay Scholarship

    Benefits:

    • Up to 75% coverage on Tuition and Miscellaneous

     

    Eligibility:

    • The student must be an incoming freshman.
    • The student must belong to a low-income family.
    • The student must pass the scholarship exam.

     

    Requirements:

    • The student must submit the following documents at the Marketing Department, on or before the set deadline:Certificate of Indigency
    • Form 137
    • Certificate of Good Moral Character
    • NSO Birth Certificate
    • Maintenance:The scholarship extends for the normal life of the chosen program upon enrollment in first year.
    • Must be able to render 80 hours/semester.
  • 7. Student Assistantship & Student Marshal Scholarship

    Benefits:

    • 100% coverage on tuition

     

    Eligibility:

    • The student must belong to a low-income family.
    • The student must not have any failing grade.
    • No disciplinary record
    • Must enroll a maximum of 24 units only.

     

    Requirements:

    • Must pass the exam.
    • Must submit two (2) of the following documents:
      1. Income Statement of Parents/s
      2. Proof of Billing (of the current month)/Certificate of Indigency
      3. Good Moral Certificate
      4. Medical Certificate
      5. Report Card (for freshmen)
      6. Photocopy of Grade Report from Registrar (For old student)
      7. 2×2 photo

     

    Maintenance:

    • The student must not have a mark of Incomplete, Dropped, or Failed.
    • The student is required twenty (20) hours service service every week to his/her office/canteen/food strip assignment.
    • The student is required to submit monthly attendance signed by the immediate supervisor to CSDL.
    • SA’s are required to attend monthly meetings, and other institutional activities.
  • 8. Scholarship Benefit for Employee Dependents

    The benefits are available to:

    • Regular non-teaching employees
    • Tenured faculty member
    • Full-time contractual/probationary faculty, who have served at least 2 semesters in the institution

     

    For married/single employees:

    • A spouse may avail of a 50% scholarship for the Graduate School Department.

     

    Dependent children or siblings may avail of a scholarship subject to the guidelines below:

    Limitation:

    • Maximum of four (4) children or siblings at any given point in time
    • Aged 21 years or younger at the time of registration

     

    Coverage:

    • 100% scholarship for Elementary, Secondary, or Tertiary Programs for the three (3) eldest children in the institution; or for one (1) sibling
    • 50% scholarship for Elementary, Secondary, or Tertiary Programs for the fourth
    • 50% scholarship for Elementary, Secondary, or Tertiary Programs for the rest of the siblings
  • 9. Scholarship for the Dependents of PHINMA Company Employees

    Benefits:

    • 25% coverage on Tuition

     

    Eligibility:

    • Either the student must be a child of a married PHINMA employee or the student must be a sibling of an unmarried PHINMA employee

     

    Requirements:

    • Certificate of Employment
    • NSO Birth Certificate

     

    Maintenance:

    • As long as parent/sibling remains a PHINMA employee
  • 10. Children of Alumni Scholarship

    Benefits:

    • 10% coverage on Tuition

     

    Eligibility:

    • The student must be a child of a PHINMA COC alumnus/alumna

     

    Requirements:

    • Transcript of Records or Diploma of Parent/s
    • NSO Birth Certificate of child/children
  • 11. Sibling Discount

    The student must be a sibling of another student enrolled in PHINMA COC.

     

    Benefits:

    • 2nd child enrolled – 10% discount on Tuition Fee
    • 3rd child enrolled – 25% discount on Tuition Fee
    • 4th child enrolled – 50% discount on Tuition Fee

     

    Requirements:

    • NSO Birth Certificates of children

     

    Maintenance:

    • As long as children are currently enrolled
